Robert is a proven corporate professional with 25 years experience in the international Life Sciences Industry. His career began in the Pharmaceutical Industry, followed by a distinguished tenure with Life Technologies™ Inc., in which he held many commercial, leadership, and business development positions. These included regional and national responsibilities for the Canadian life sciences markets; biotechnology and research.
Most recently he held the position Global Market Development Manager Molecular Biology Business, Invitrogen™ Corporation part of Life Technologies™ Inc., in which he built strategic relationships with key international scientists, funding agencies, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and multi-national research programs. His focus was in emerging technology and clinical applications; Genomics, Proteomics, Epigenetics, Stem Cells and Companion Diagnostics.
Robert is the recipient of many awards during his career for both his professional results and leadership. He is well versed in Web deployment strategies to effectively drive marketing and business development functions. A UBC Alumni with a strong scientific background in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology and Genetics, he brings a successful track record in business and a passion for science.
He is a Co-Director of REEL CAUSES Organization, supporting community and non profit organizations, through the power of film.
